FAQs
Most frequently asked questions.
Where is the clinic based?
Our Clinic is located on the Wellingborough Road in Northampton.
This is opposite the ‘Esso’ petrol station and about 5 minute walk from Abington Park.
The front door is locked at 4:30pm so if your appointment is after that time we will have to use the entrance at the rear of the building.
What should I wear?
Loose, comfortable clothing is advised. You may be asked to remove specific items of clothing to address the medical issue you have presented with.
This will be done with the greatest and up most respect.
We as practitioners will leave the room whilst items are being removed then once covered with a towel we will re enter to continue with the treatment.
How can I pay for my appointment?
Either card/ contactless payment or bank transfer, which ever is easier for you.
Will I get treatment in the first session?
Within the first session a full injury assessment will take place. This will include a detailed conversation of previous injury and medical history.
This is then followed by assessing aggravating movements before moving onto the treatment aspect. This may include manual therapy.
We will always give you homework to do. This comes as a home exercise plan which will include stretches/ strengthening movements.
What is the parking situation?
There is FREE parking both round the front and back.
Front: Opposite the ‘Esso’ petrol station you have a 2 hour free parking period. Reminder that they lock the front door at 4:30pm. If your appointment is after this time you may want to park round the back.
Back: Go through the black steel gates (if closed, they open automatically as you approach) and park up in a visitors space. You will need to sign in in the visitors book. When leaving the code for the exit gate is 1066.
How many sessions will I need?
This is a question that is asked a lot. I would love to give you a specific number of sessions before the issue has been addressed however, this is very difficult to do and is individual to each person.
So the answer is, we don’t know, it varies from patient to patient.
