Ben Gibson MSc - Clinic Owner

Hi,

I’m Ben, the owner and lead Sports Therapist here at BG Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation. I am a dedicated sports therapist with a decade of experience helping both sporting and non-sporting individuals recover from injuries, improve performance, and help to prevent future setbacks.

As the founder of BG Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation in Northampton, I specialise in hands-on treatments, rehabilitation programs, and strength training techniques tailored to each client’s needs.

Just a little bit about me, I studied a bachelor of sciences (with honours) at the University of Northampton for 3 years, after which I went on to obtain my masters of sciences in 2015. Within that time I also completed level 2 (gym instructing) and level 3 (personal training qualification). As someone with lower back pain (I know, the irony right) I am incredibly passionate about pre/ rehabilitation. With that being said we are in the process of becoming an APPI Pilates instructor with level 1 and level 2 already achieved we are planning to complete the trilogy this year!

Having worked in different clinics and various football clubs over the last 10 years I have gain valuable knowledge through treating over 2000+ patients in that time so whether you’re an athlete, weekend warrior, or just looking to move pain-free, I’m here to support your journey.

Let’s work together to get you stronger, healthier, and back to doing what you love!

Katie How - Physiotherapist

Why Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation?

From a young age I have been fascinated with how the body is put together and how everything functions without us having to think about anything. I like the idea that an injury whether it be from a playing field of in an office, can be fixed using manual therapy and then using rehabilitation techniques and can help to reduce the risk of this issues happening again.

There is nothing more satisfying than using a combination of Sports Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation techniques to reduce pain and Improve Your Lifestyle.

Started working in the University of Northampton’s clinic before moving on to Kettering Science Academy under 18’s.

The following year I started working at Wellingborough Town FC in which I helped to reduce injuries through manual therapy and rehabilitation sessions.
I have also been working at a Physiotherapy clinic in Milton Keynes since September, 2016.
I have treated 1000+ patients and counting in own clinic and through other employment.
